PDFWorks is designed for data minimization. Anonymous PDF jobs store only the file, job status metadata, and a session-scoped access token hash required to return the result.

Uploaded and generated files are stored outside the public web root and are automatically deleted after the configured retention window. V1 uses local processing only and does not send PDFs to third-party conversion APIs.

Optional analytics cookies from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are loaded only after you consent. Your choice is stored in the `pdfworks_cookie_consent` cookie for 180 days and can be changed at any time through Cookie preferences in the footer.
